|
Pendine is a small village on the shores of Carmarthen Bay on the South Coast of Wales. It consists of two parts: the old hill-top settlement around the parish church, and the small harbour settlement on the shore. The latter developed into a small seaside resort during the 20th century.
The seaside resort is best known for Pendine Sands, a 7 mile long beach, which stretches from Gilman Point in the west to Laugharne Sands in the east and is one of the most visted areas of Carmarthen. At Pendine, you will be in close proximity to some of Wales' most popular attractions, including Manor House Wild Animal Park, Oakwood and Folly Farm. You will be surrounded by miles of unspoilt countryside whether you want to walk, cycle or drive. You are close to some famous towns like Tenby and Saundersfoot and finally can relax in one of the many pubs, restaurants on offer either in Pendine or at any nearby village. So while you ponder paying Pendine a visit, why not look at the Whats to do section on the left for more detail. |
